Wenhaston Methodist Church
About Wenhaston Methodist Chapel
Wenhaston Methodist Chapel serves the rural village of Wenhaston, a thriving community of around 1,000 residents nestled in the Suffolk countryside. The village enjoys a strong community spirit, with a well supported primary school, village hall, local amenities, active sports clubs and several environmental groups caring for the surrounding commons and natural environment.
For many years, the chapel played an important role in village life, supporting family activities, children's groups and links with the local school. Today, although the congregation is smaller and predominantly older, the chapel continues to provide a faithful Christian presence and a place of worship, fellowship and pastoral care.
Recognising the changing needs of both church and community, the congregation is exploring a closer ecumenical partnership with St Peter's Church, the village Anglican church. The shared hope is that by working together, the two congregations can strengthen their Christian witness and develop new opportunities for outreach and service within the village.
